2011 Trophy - a new targetWe originally devised this event at the start of 2009 to encourage Club activity on the VHF bands, and as the last two years' RSGB UKAC results show, we can now boast the most active Club on VHF in the UK! So we're changing tack for 2011 - to encourage our Members' participation in RSGB 80m contests, the M3OTT Trophy will be awarded for the best entry by a Club Member in the 80m Club Championship events. But originally devised as the BWC Members' Activity Contest, the event was re-named in honour of Tony M3OTT, who passed away in 2009.
It is an activity contest for BWC Members, designed to encourage our Members to try their hands at contesting. It's a friendly event, covering the 160m, 6m, 4m, 2m and 70cm bands, with a power limit of 10W, so that all Licensees can compete on an equal footing. The event comprises two one-week sessions, in March and November, and the scores are accumulated between the two. 2010 results
As so few stations entered both sessions, the final scores were ordered on the basis of the best session score submitted. 2009 resultsFixed section
